Bannerghatta National Park and ISKON temple
On Sunday I was treated to a day of sightseeing with Satish, DPS’s inspirational yoga teacher. He started out by taking me to the ISKON temple, which was not really my cup of tea but was interesting to say the least. They have all kinds of fantastic projects being built around India. There was a wedding taking place just as we rolled up.
It was a long drive but they were determined to take me to Bannerghatta National Park next.
Yea, we went for the “grand safari” and good thing we did it early as the lines were out of control by the time we got out.
There was some cool action:
Then we went into the butterfly pavilion
There’s a mini amusement park next to the parking lot.
There are a bunch of stalls and shops on the way into the park.
And a fairly nice hotel restaurant where we had a much needed late lunch to get ready for the long trip home. What great hosts at DPS North, they really put so much time and effort into showing me around!
