Innovation Festival Day 2
Woke up early for the Innovation Festival Day 2 and however my presentation was going to go down. Breakfast always started with fruit, a great way to start a day.
When I arrived I got a little lost wandering around the museum on my own…
Before I finally checked in and spent some time meeting the student innovators. Again there is a story to each one of these that I hope to get to later.
I got to see a little of how the school groups are organized- they come in large numbers from the state sponsored schools.
There were also some education entrepreneurs and maker-style projects going on, I was very impressed with the passionate work of the people at the Science Centre.
Then it was time for me to give my presentation, which went as well as could be expected considering it was quite spontaneous and I really haven’t had time to learn about the audience.
I’m going to post a video of that separately and you can tell me what you think.
Next I had another yummy Indian lunch with the museum staff and had a young museum guide named Paras take me around all the different galleries and shows that the museum has to offer. He was also kind enough to hold my phone and video me while I was doing my presentation, as I didn’t think to bring a tripod.
I loved everything about the Science Centre and love the way it mixes fun with serious science education. Parts of it are funky but that just adds to the charm! Thanks again Paras for being an incredible guide and an outstanding young man. See you on Facebook!
