Recap of Week in Bangalore
Leaving Kolkata meant the last breakfast at the less than inspiring Peerless Inn hotel buffet… it doesn’t look that bad, I guess, but just didn’t taste very good…
After which I went outside and crossed the street to see what kind of hotel I could have stayed in for three times the price…
Of course in order to get there (unless driven by car) you have to walk through or around this:
Packed up once again and headed to airport.. saw lots of Holi revelers along the way
Checked into my flight, dealt with the dreaded security yet again…
Then treated myself to breakfast #2 before returning to Bangalore.
At the airport it was fairly easy to get an Ola cab
My return to Bangalore didn’t start out as I’d hoped for, as the schools were all super occupied with exams and so for my first few days I basically holed up in my AC room and worked on my VR presentation for NSTA. At least I got something valuable done. I also applied for the Exploratorium Teachers Institute which would make for a memorable summer PD for me.
By Thursday I was scouting the Planetarium and VITM for the field trip I’m planning for a class group, visiting Anupama at WorkBench Projects and scoring an invite to visit a school her father supports, Mahatma Vidyalaya, where I gave a PD for the teachers and presentation to a large assembly of students.
On Friday I meet with Kuldeep from ReapBenefit and we schemed on future collaborations, then I met with Fulbrighter Marina Basu again to wish her well on her new adventure.
