The Ultimate School Detention

Not too many students would complain today if their consequences for misbehaving or being lazy meant after school detention in virtual reality.

The Story of Colonist A-514 goes like this:   “As a teenager in the middle generation of a 140 year expedition to re-colonize mankind, you have no experience of Earth and will never lay eyes upon the planet your  children will inhabit. Your most vital contribution is simple… TO LEARN…. and to pass on those teachings to your kin- the future of us all depends on it.”

You are then transported to a virtual classroom where you serve detention by learning about the history of this place called Earth. I hope this idea takes off as it is a great way to present natural history.
